Anthony Edwards is a Superstar, Jalen Brunson is Not

Rob Parker: "What Jalen Brunson is doing is tremendous. We're not saying he's not worthy of a conversation for how great he has played this year. But there is a big difference between being a star player and being someone who is playing well right now. Anthony Edwards could lose to the Nuggets and nobody would take away the superstar tag from him. If the Knicks lose to the Pacers, nobody will stand on their business and say 'oh no, Brunson is a superstar.' That's the difference. That's what separates the two. One has a tag that's there until further notice, and the other one's tag is flimsy. It could fall off at any time. It's flimsy, and Anthony Edwards is not flimsy."
Chris Broussard: "Jalen Brunson was a role player for his first 4 years in the league. The burden of proof, as far as becoming a superstar, is going to be higher for Brunson than it is for Anthony Edwards. Edwards is supposed to be a superstar. He was the first pick in the draft."

Chris Broussard and Rob Parker explain why Anthony Edwards, not Jalen Brunson, is the breakout superstar of this year's NBA Playoffs. The guys break down why Jalen Brunson still has work to do before fully being graced with superstar status. However, as Chris and Rob demonstrate, Anthony Edwards can officially be labeled a superstar now that he has proven he can live up to the superstar expectations.
